Officials with the NHRA have shared that Toronto Motorsports Park––the drag strip and road course in Cayuga, Ontario, Canada––has hosted a successful NHRA Youth and Education Services (YES) Program, welcoming 675 area high school students to spend the day and learn about opportunities in trades, racing and life.

"Thanks to the hard work of Uli Bieri, Jessica Slikker, Mike Vanni, Neale Armstrong, NHRA's Glenn Grow, Bill Richards, and the staff at Toronto Motorsports Park, the event was a true success," an NHRA statement said.

"More than 40 partners offered displays and hands-on activities for the students to try out," said the track's Jason Hardie. "The bingo cards that we used this year for the students allowed them to be better engaged with our partners, and our partners were impressed. They got some great questions from the students, and some of the students connected for some summer work placements with some of the companies. This is how lives are changed and pathways are created."

"The message of the day: Passion for what you do, and to blur the lines between work and play, do what you love! We can't wait to make next year even bigger and better," Hardie continued.
